Carved from solid black walnut, this wing-back–style dining chair is built around a tall backrest inspired by the gentle spread of a whale’s tail. The legs taper softly, and the arched rails give the frame a light feel, lifting the chair while still feeling grounded. Every edge is rounded and shaped by hand so the seat and back feel good to touch and easy to lean into over a long meal at the table.
All American black Walnut. Constructed using domino joinery, splayed and straight angles, and reinforced with stainless steel screws fastened beneath the seat and underside.
